Split in online rummy game

How the option of SPLIT work in Rummy?

The option of SPLIT is used when there are only 2-3 players left at the table. There will be two types of options. Auto split and manual split.

Auto split - it will be of two types
Two-players Auto Split
Three-players Auto Split
Two-players Auto Split

This is common in 101 and 201 pool tables (the game which starts with more than 2 players)

101 pool table

It is used when only two players are at the table. Each of the players will have a game count of 80 or higher. The prize will be automatically split between the two players at the end of the game. For example, A player with 90 points and player with 85 points will share the prize equally.

201 pool table

It is used when only two players are at the table. Each of the players will have a game count of 175 or higher. The prize will be automatically split between the two players at the end of the game. For example, a player with 190 points and player with 185 points will share the prize

Three player Auto Split

This is common in 101 and 201 pool tables which have started off with more than three players.

101 pool tables

It is used when only three players are at the table. Each of the players will have a game count of 80 or higher. The prize will be automatically split between the two players at the end of the game. For example, a player with 90 points and player with 85 points will share the prize equally.

201 pool tables

It is used when only three players are at the table. Each of the players will have a game count of 175 or higher. The prize will be automatically split between the two players at the end of the game. For example, a player with 190 points and player with 185 points will share the prize

Manual Split: It can be two-players or three-players.
Two player manual split

Common in 101 and 201 pool tables (the games which are started with more than 2 players)

Three player manual split

Common in 101 and 201 pool tables (the games which are started with more than 3 players In a 101 pool game, the total score of the players shall be greater than 60 (in order for manual split to be used) and in a 201 pool game, the total score of the players shall be greater than 150.

How will this be processed? How the prize is split.

Each player’s remaining drop will be equated to the player who has the least number of remaining drops. The excess drops of each player will be paid off from the prize pool as follows: Number of excess drops x Entry fee

For example, consider there are four players. A, B, C and D.

D drops out and now only THREE are remained (A, B and C).

They can split the prize as follows.

If player A has 2 drops left, player B has 1 drop left and player C has 0 drops left, the calculation of the prize pool will be as follows:

  • Prize pool - Rs.300
  • 1 drop - Rs.50
  • Player A - 2 Drops
  • Player B - 1 drop
  • Player C - 0 drops

Since Players A and B have more number of drops than C does, they get a bigger portion of the prize pool.

  • Player A- 2 x 50 = Rs.100
  • Player B - 1 x 50 = Rs.50
  • Player C - 0 x 50 = 0
  • Remaining prize pool = 300 - 100 - 50 = Rs. 150
  • Remaining prize pool distribution = 150/3 = Rs. 50 each.
  • Player A = 150 + 50 = Rs. 200
  • Player B = 50 + 50 = Rs.100
  • Player C = Rs.50
